On July 13, 2000 while visiting Corrie Ten Boom’s Hiding Place for the Jews in Holland, the Lord called me to shelter women and children as Corrie had done for the Jews. I returned to Branson with a passion to reach out to hurting women. The Lord has opened many doors for me to be able to follow His Call. He has heard their cries and He says; NO MORE!
The original mission of The Hiding Place Ministry was to support woman who were victims of Domestic Violence; Providing shelter, counseling and faith.
July 1, 2009, The Hiding Place’s mission changed to Recovery Homes for Men, Women and Children.
December 25, 2009, The Hiding Place lost a Leader, a Friend, their Pastor, Co-Founder, and Devote Christian, Pastor William G Daniel, husband to Co-Founder Carolyn Daniel.
January, 2012- Carolyn Daniel, Founder/Director of the Hiding Place has asked Pastors Denver and Joanie Buchanan to be the new Pastors of The Hiding Place Ministry.
Carolyn, will no longer be providing residential care for both male and female clients. The Lord is leading her in a different direction and she is with blessed with what the Lord is doing in her life and for The Hiding Place Church; she will still be President of the Ministry and stay in touch with what the Lord is doing.
